Welcome to Class 8’s Page!

In Class 8, we are supported by Mrs Pritchard and Mrs Beck. Mrs Rees will teach Class 8 on a Friday Morning.

Here you will find the information you need to stay up to date with what is happening in Class 8 and School.

Spring 1 – Vikings Vs Dragons!

Year 3 and 4 discovered a dragon egg in the Dell!

Happy New Year! What an exciting week we have had in Year 3 and 4. On Wednesday, ‘CCTV’ footage was found of a dragon visiting our school. We later discovered that the dragon had left an egg inside the dell. We were very excited to find out why a dragon may have visited the school. We came up with lots of questions and came up with possible answers to ‘Why did he leave the egg at Bolton-le-Sands?’

Children are now looking forward starting our new topic and begin reading the story of ‘How to Train your Dragon‘ by Cressida Cowell.

Please see the curriculum newsletter for further details about our curriculum this Half Term.

To keep updated with our curriculum this half term please visit the school Facebook page where we will post information about our life and learning in school.

If you require any further information please feel free to contact your child’s class teacher before or after school. We look forward to hearing from you as the half term progresses.

Many Thanks

Miss N Todd

Autumn 2 – Rock and Roll

Welcome back after a lovely Autumn Half Term. This Half Term we are reading the story of the ‘Stone Age Boy‘ by Satoshi Kitamura. This is a story of a young boy who travels back in time and experiences what life was like living in the Stone Age! So far, children have enjoyed experiencing what it was like to be a Hunter-gatherer within our History lessons, looking at a range of Rocks and Fossils in Science and debating whether they would prefer to live in the Stone Age or Present day in English!
