Welcome to Class 9!
Welcome back after half term. We have a very busy half term ahead, leading up to Christmas. Our topic this half term is “I’m an Evacuee…Get Me Out Of Here!”. We will be studying aspects of the Second World War, particularly its effects on children and their families in this country.
We will be writing poetry and also reading the book “Letters From The Lighthouse” by Emma Carroll in our English work.
Towards the end of the term, we will be holding a VE Day celebration, where parents and friends will be invited to see the work the children will have done over the half term. As well as this, the children will be preparing for Christmas and the KS2 Christmas Concert. We hope to see you at these events.
Welcome to Class 9 and the Autumn term. Out topic for this term is ‘A Kingdom United’ in which we will be investigating the United Kingdom. Also this term, we are studying the novel ‘Outlaw’ by Michael Morpurgo, which is based on the legend of Robin Hood. For a full overview of this term’s curriculum, please see the curriculum newsletter.
