Bolton-le-Sands is a Church of England Primary School offering primary education to children aged 4 to 11.
This school is currently organised into eleven classes, of which some are mixed year groups.
If you are interested in a place for your child to start with us in the following September in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception), please see below our Early Years Admission Section. If you are interested in your child attending at any other point in the primary phase, please refer to our In-Year Admissions section.
Early Years Admission Arrangements
The school’s Admission Policy follows the Lancashire Local Authority guidelines for Voluntary Aided Schools. Applications are made electronically to the Local Authority for a school place in the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception) so that the admission criteria can be applied.
The Local Authority provide our school with a list of all applications made, with no detail of preference, that our Admissions Committee categorise, rank and submit back to the Local Authority for final sorting and notification of parents.
In order to rank applications fairly and without prejudice, our Admissions Committee follows the school’s Admission Policy. Please see below a link to our Admission Policy, our Parish Boundary map as well as links to the Local Authority’s website and other support.
