Well done to the development squad who won tonight’s event with a mammoth 260 points! All the children produced wonderful performances and were a credit to themselves and the school. Special congratulations to Grace Squires and Joshua Rhodes who are now holders of school records: girls’ 4 lap and boys’ long jump.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are temporarily suspending all extra-curricular clubs. We hope that we will be able to offer these again soon. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
In our school, there are a huge range of extra-curricular activities that children can be involved in: sport, drama, art, music, eco-club, reading to name a few.
Anyone is welcome to join, no matter what their ability. Teams are chosen for events from the children who attend clubs: our aim is that every child, regardless of ability, will represent our school at a sporting event before they leave us. This is something we are very proud of and it is lovely to see the pride children take in pulling on the BLS kit.
Tag rugby 4.2.20
Well done to all the children who represented the school (some for the first time ever) at the tag rugby tournament on Tuesday 4th February. There were 29 children in all, across three teams, and they represented our Christian values of honour, respect, courage and trust with great enthusiasm. Well done to the ‘Dragons’ who reached the final and finished second behind a strong Grosvenor Park team. Thank you to all parents for your continuing support. Check out the pictures on our facebook page.
Senior squad indoor athletics: 24.1.20
Well done to all who competed in the senior squad athletics tournament on 24.1.20. We finished second to a strong Overton team and remain top of the league with one fixture remaining. Check out the updated school records.
