Jewish Seder Meal

This afternoon, to round of our RE work about the Exodus, we reenacted a Jewish Seder Meal. We tried the different food, including parsley with salt water, horseradish and lettuce, and matzos with charoset. Some of it we weren’t so keen on! We finished by singing ‘Dayenu’, a song often sung at Passover. Here’s a link to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p1pabOX3fc

It was great to experience the meal and think about the symbolism of the food.

Healthy Heroes Afternoon

On Wednesday afternoon, we had a fantastic time when parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles joined us in school to look at the work we have been doing during our topic ‘Healthy Heroes’.

There were a range of activities to participate in: a trim trail, making and eating ‘bento boxes’, playing our Scratch games, as well as looking at our superhero stories, comic strips and Top Trump games!

Thanks to all the adults who came along and made the afternoon a very special one for the children.

Parent visit day

We had a lovely time on Wednesday when parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles visited to have a look at what we’ve been doing during our topic, ‘Heroes and Villains’. Adults took part in a range of activities: exercising on the trim trail, making and eating ‘bento boxes’, playing our scratch games as well as looking at the incredible English, History and Art work we have been doing.
