Marvellous Morecambe Trip

On Monday, all of Year 5 and 6 spent the day in Marvellous Morecambe! We began our day by visiting the Heritage Centre and Winter Gardens, as well as following an old map of Morecambe to see how land use has changed.

After lunch, we walked from the Midland Hotel to Happy Mount Park, using old photographs of Morecambe landmarks (like Bubbles, the Pleasure Park, the piers and Crinkley Bottom) to identify the same views today and take photographs of those views.

Huge thanks to Morecambe Heritage Centre and The Winter Gardens for opening especially for us, making the day more memorable and enjoyable.

Seaside Art

It has been a very busy time over the past few weeks, so sorry that this is a little late! Two weeks ago, Year 5 walked down to the shore to participate in different art activities. We made stone towers, picture frames in the sand using natural materials and painted landscapes with water colours.

Moving Toys

Over the past few weeks, Class 9 has resembled a toy workshop! We have been designing and making moving toys using cam mechanisms. Have a look at the finished products.
