Mini beast day! Here are some pictures from our minibeast day. The children learnt lots about all the different minibeasts and got to hold some too.
To start our minibeast topic of we went on a minibeast hunt and found lots of different min beasts around school. We use magnifying glasses to help us. We observed the different animals and also drew observational drawings of them and the signs of spring.
1st February 2022
What a busy last two weeks we have had! The children have learnt all about the Lunar ( Chinese) new year this week. Focusing on the story of ‘The Great Race’. In our writing we have chosen our favourite animal and wrote how it crossed the river – I’m sure they’ll be able to tell you which one they chose. We have enjoyed looking at all the different animals especially the dragon! Our focus for Math’s has been the number 6 and 7, finding different ways of making 6.
In RE we have read the story of Jonah and the Whale, we made whale biscuits to help us remember the story and we were also able to go into a whale!

The Sunshine and Rainbow classes had a super party this afternoon celebrating all our hard work this term. We played party games, ate some tasty party food and shared our groovy moves! 🙂
